Our MISSION

The Center's mission is to ensure that the Sisters’ gentle, inspired common sense approach to living a faith-filled life continues to endure, flourish, and guide all aspects of a Visitation education into our third century and beyond. The Center is built on four guiding pillars: faith formation; leadership and living our faith through service; engagement beyond the Green Gate; and preserving our past.

To carry out this important work, our team works collaboratively with the Sisters of the Visitation, campus ministry, Christian service, and theology departments to create meaningful ways for our lay community to be the hands and voice of our Salesian charism as we witness the Sisters’ beautiful way of Living Jesus.

LIVING Jesus

"I appreciate Salesian Spirituality more each year because I have found a community of faith. We all grow in faith together. Having common values helps me connect with God through the people I have met here and the relationships I’ve created."

"I live my faith every day at Visitation. I feel it in the the morning, the middle of the day, the end of the day. It all starts with the Direction of Intention. Mass is offered almost every day at lunchtime, confession too. There are so many ways to be present."

Joyful Optimism

"My favorite Little Virtue is Joyful Optimism. We have a joyful spirit here at Visi. It is so noticeable. I think this virtue pairs with perseverance: you can do things happily, even when they're hard - that’s admirable."

Hope '25

“I think that at Visitation, they teach you to be proud of what you believe. When I leave Visitation at the end of my four years here, I feel confident that I will be able to express myself, and be fearless in saying I am a Catholic woman of faith, vision, and purpose.”
